Happy Holiday!

I’m so glad that I finally managed to finish this course, and I have to say that it was the most challenging and most demanding course of the semester, but I don’t regret at all that I chose this course; it has taught me more than I could have ever imagined.

As a coding beginner with no related background, I’m so proud that I was able to finish a website and master the basics of some coding languages; these are something I’ve never thought about. I believe these skills will be beneficial for me in the future. While I must confess that I’m still not familiar with these languages, the course is more like a guide, and numerous practice is still needed to master the skills.

I also learned to think and design as a product manager, which equips me with new angles to see problems and products; completing my project gave me a chance to practice the design thinking methods I learned in class. I know a lot from the user tests mainly because they are not only my users but also my teachers and give me so many valuable suggestions to make them all better, and that’s when I realized how crucial and effective the user tests could be. I think I am still lacking in design thinking, and my grasp of business model is not sufficient; during the presentation of the final lesson, I deeply felt the gap between other classmates and me in the design of the business model, my business model is very unclear and too brief. Thus this part is exactly what I need to improve in the future.

Overall, this class is a field I have not been exposed to before, and it blows my mind. Although completing each assignment was very painful, I still enjoyed the three hours of extreme concentration every Monday night and the excitement of seeing the outcomes after hours of working. I gradually fell in love with coding! (I am probably the kind of person who loves pain 😂)

This course has made a massive difference to me, taking me from someone who didn’t know anything to someone who is getting started in this field, and it’s improved my thinking methods and my ability to learn independently. After tons of hard work, the holiday finally comes!!!
