Assignment1: Say Goodbye to Monday Blue with Coding!
Welcome to Lexi’s crazy Monday!
This is my first experience in creating a web page, the idea of the design came from the ‘Crazy Thursday’ of KFC, so I used the background image of KFC and did some changes to its original copy.
To fit the theme, I use a custom font called ‘nightmare’ for the header and navigation bar, which can be found on dafont .
For many of us with no background knowledge of coding, Monday may be a crazy beginning not only for a week but for your studies. So I designed a text box to introduce the concept of ‘Monday blue’ and attached a form on the right for any visitors leaving their names and emotions. Though it has not been responsive and interactive, you can just use it to check your real-time mood and avoid being trapped in negative emotions.
As for the present version, it still has a lot to improve. Firstly, I set the background repeat as inherit, but if there is more content, the background image will be repeated. Since it’s not a solid color image, the interface will become ugly…Secondly, the entire interface is not responsive, so no screen adaptation will take place if you use another device to enter, it is not yet ‘smart’. The magic of CSS lies in its unpredictability, you will never know how the web page will be presented in the next second. Also, patience and carefulness are required, because even a punctuation error can lead the entire page to a mess. However, the whole process will give you a sense of accomplishment from turning the vision in your head into reality.
It should be noted that all images are freely downloaded from Pinterest and pixabay . The text is from BBC learning English, which is also allowing free non-commercial usage.
Hope all who visited my website are in a good mood to start your new week 🙂
