Assignment5: Ad astra abyssosque!
One expected solution to the current cumbersome process of organizing races for the Genshin players is a functional racing race player platform. The community of players is designed to attract “厨力” racing enthusiasts, and like-minded organizers can be more easily to save the time to build a host team through “crowdfunded”. At the same time, the function of race recording provided by the platform can save the human resources needed by the organizer. The ability to submit results also brings organizers and participants closer together. In addition to charging for each race, the platform is also expected to introduce a monthly fee system to optimize the race hosting experience for members and keep them using the platform for the long term.
To validate the current design of the site’s core features, I designed five tasks to test whether users can successfully launch a race:
Suppose you want to organize a Genshin reward racing:
1. Where do you check which racing have taken place
2. How do you get the current racing information and details
3. How do you register and log in
4. How do you launch a crowdfunding
5. How do you launch a race
6. How do you check the racing you launched
Supplements: Interviewees can arrange the first three tasks in their preferred order, while the last three tasks are related to the process of organizing a racing and should be carried out in order.
Three post-test questions are also prepared:
(1) Please rate the overall process: 5 as very satisfied, 1 as very dissatisfied
(2) What difficulties did you encounter in the process?
(3) How do you think the page can be improved based on question 2?
In the early user interview and the first usability analysis, I found that although the five representative users were satisfied with the functions of the website, they would spend a relatively long time in login and registration. I want to know how to get rid of users’ concerns about becoming a registered member, so my AB test will be modeled on the registration interface.
In the original version, I displayed a banner above the registration section explaining the benefits users can get if they sign up; In the original version, I included a banner explaining the benefits that registered members can receive.
In Variant 1, I removed this banner.
