UX research is a field that focuses on understanding how users interact with products to improve design. It gathers crucial information about user behavior, frustrations, and needs, helping companies make data-driven decisions. In agile development, UX research integrates into the process by focusing on defined tasks, preparing projects upfront, and supporting product teams. Agile methods like retrospectives and “Kaikaku” allow teams to adapt quickly, and techniques like pairing and open test labs enhance collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Qualitative UX methods, such as usability testing, field studies, and interviews, explore user behaviors and insights, often with a small number of participants. Quantitative methods, including A/B testing, surveys, and analytics, provide statistical data for comparison and benchmarking. AI tools in UX research can assist with tasks like data analysis, user interviews, and brainstorming, though over-reliance on AI can lead to creativity loss and bias. Ultimately, AI complements UX design but should not replace human intuition and empathy.
