First attempt at HTML and CSS

Hello everyone, this is Gareau here! This is my first attempt at making a web page, and it’s really hard for someone who’s afraid of computer science! I was overwhelmed at first, but I got better after I got familiar with those elements. To be honest, it’s very easy to get immersed in making a web page, and a few hours will pass in a flash. I guess I really had fun.

I started designing this page with the idea of incorporating everything I learned as much as possible, so I opened my notes and tried out the techniques in them one by one. And the web page was finally…Do you think it’s that easy? Of course not. A lot of things are one thing in the book and another thing in practice. I had a lot of problems doing it – the formatting was often confusing and the colors were weird. So I opened up Baidu and searched for various problems before I finally solved most of them. Overall, I think I made it look like a web page in the end. It’s a little bit short but I think I did everything I could. I hope I can learn more to make my page look better!

By the way, I really want to talk about how upsetting GitHub is. At first, I didn’t name my assignment1 as “index.html”, and I couldn’t show my page at all! after I changed the name, it still couldn’t work, and I had to upload my assignment again. This cost me 2 hours and I still didn’t figure out what was wrong.
