HI THERE! My Potential Customers

The problem statements are defined as follows in light of the conducted user research during the initial phase of the investigation:

1. “How might we make IG shops which sell fashion items but with less than 10k followers (who) address the problems of low exposure and inconvenient order management (what) to achieve the goals of improving shop awareness and sales (why)?”

2. “How might we make young online shopping lovers who spend $500 or above monthly on IG shops (who) address the problems of hardly finding interested IG shops or products (what) to achieve the goals of saving time in searching and a better online shopping experience (why)?”

During the interview, the IG shop owners revealed that they have suffered from low exposure on Instagram and inconvenient order management when they were running their shops. Meanwhile, customers who love online shopping found difficulties in finding their interested shops and products on IG and they were overwhelmed by the irrelevant search results which were really time-consuming for them to browse posts one by one and sent messages to the shops asking about product information as well as placing orders. In this regard, the proposed solution will focus on the development of a one-stop shopping platform (paid subscription-based) that aims to provide a platform for IG shop owners where they can not only easily manage the shops and orders but also increase their exposure by collaborating with other shops in terms of joint-store promotion. While for young online shopping lovers, the website provides a better shopping experience for them by enabling them to find products and shops more easily with different filters or keywords. Also, the time cost of placing orders is also lower as they do not need to send direct messages to the shops asking about the product information, payment as well as delivery methods and waiting for their replies. In addition, they can also enjoy special offers such as free delivery or exclusive discounts due to the joint-store promotion. The customers mentioned that they sometimes brought clothes from several IG shops but the orders were separated and the total delivery cost was so expensive, the above offers were thus really attractive for them to join the platform.
