Narrow the scope and to be more focused

When people decide to take film photos, there are a lot of steps to do, in other words, lots of information to be collected, organized, and verified. I interview people who are film camera users and photos camera sellers who are also film camera lovers. During the interviews, I found that active beginner-level user with enthusiasm is more willing to pay for services about film cameras. They have the idea of price in mind, and already get used to taking film photos, but they are still new in this area which means still looking for useful information. Apart from this, the camera sellers, who usually are also film-taking lovers, usually have their own knowledge and devices for film, especially film development. Other services in the market are less meaningful to them compared to the active beginner.

So, I choose the active beginner persona for three reasons. Frist, this type of persona is the second largest majority of film camera users, it represents the second major market. Second, compared with inactive beginners, this type of persona is already willing to pay for continuing purchases, rather than easily giving up. He cares about the price but is not very sensitive about these factors. Since films are more and more expensive nowadays, this characteristic of not being sensitive about price is beneficial for keeping continuing purchases. Third, he is not an analog photo expert, but rather a beginner with enthusiasm, so a guide for self-study and a community to learn from others would be needed.

He represents Gen Z who becomes interested in film cameras in recent years, and self-study all information on the Internet. Although he gets used to searching for information around various platforms, he still prefers all-in-one platforms and really cares about information authenticity.
